Ashpaw watched the creature dissapear into the forest in awe, then she turned her head back toward the two cats who had driven it off. "Oh my gosh what was that? It was sooo scary! IT was enormous! And why did it attack? And who is that?" she shot questions at Darksong, barely pausing to take a breath. She stared at Darksong, not realizing that while he had fought off a badger, she had been completely paralyzed with fear.

Darksong was breathing quite heavily. His paws and his left side ached from the wounds on them. He sat down, trying to catch his breath. Rolling his eyes at Ashpaw he said, "It was a stupid badger." He then nodded towards the tabby tom and began, "And he's...."
"Secret." The tom said, cutting Darksong off, "The only reason I'm here is because you're too scared to move and Darksong is too weak!" Secret said to Ashpaw.
"I would have been fine without you!"Darksong growled at Secret. "And don't even talk to my apprentice!" He was fine with saying mean things to Ashpaw himself, but hated it when others did it.

Ashpaw looked at Secret with wide eyes, for a second she was silent but then she puffed out her chest, "I wasn't scared, I was just trying to decide weather I should go get help or not, I mean did you see that... badger? It was enormous!!! What was I supposed to do, just let it eat me?" Ashpaw did not like to be insulted, especially since she hardly knew this cat, Who is he to say I'm scare? He doesn't even know me! Ashpaw thought to herself angrily.

Secret padded closer to Ashpaw and glared at her as he growled, "Apprentices should know not to talk back to their elders!" He hated kits. They were so disrespectful and annoying.
Darksong hissed at Secret, "Back off!"
"Oh, so you think you're tough? Pfft..."
"Just crawl back into the hole you came from!"
"Fine. I'll leave....but don't expect me to help you again. I'll just let you die!" Secret then stalked off into the shadows.
Darksong then padded over to Ashpaw, "We should go back to camp now and tell Patchstar about the badger." He told her, "But don't mention Secret."
