"Oh, alright. Do you want me to come with you, and then we could take our stroll later?" Gingerpaw hoped it would be alright. After what had just occurred, she didn't feel so confident about going on her own for the night. A slight flick of her tail betrayed her nervousness.

"You can come with me, that'd be nice." He had to admit he wasn't really sure he wanted to be left alone either, but he didn't say it out loud. "Follow me," He slowly padded away in the direction of a small patch of catnip that he knew of, feeling slightly less guilty for putting it off for so long and then almost forgetting it.

Gingerpaw allowed a light smile to play at her lips as she padded beside Ripplepaw. Her pace soon matched his, and they padded off toward the area where the catnip was resting. Her tail slightly flicked every once in a while, and she managed to eventually lose the petrification of the mysterious occurrence a moment ago.

Ripplepaw padded alonside Gingerpaw happily, until a patch of green, good-smelling catmint came into sight. He carefully trotted over and began biting the stems, gently tearing them from their home in the ground. When he had a mouthful he nodded. "I think this is enough," he mumbled through a mouthful of catmint. His mouth was filling with the sweet scent, and his eyes sparkled as he began to pad back toward camp.

(( Caramelwing, did you even read the title? This is only between Ripplepaw and Gingerpaw. You aren't supposed to crash into this thread. I'm sorry, but you must delete your post, or else you'll be ruining our thread. Ripplepaw, just ignore her post.... ))
Gingerpaw padded quite gleefully beside Ripplepaw as they padded back to Camp. Her gaze scanned the area every once in a while, seeing if there were any objects she would feel interested in. Obviously, nothing caught her attention, and so she padded after Ripplepaw and back toward Camp.
(( Ew, I'm crappy. ))

As Ripplepaw found himself standing beside Gingerpaw at the camp entrance he felt like he should say something smart or wise, but no clever words came to mind. At last a muffled, "I should probably take this to the medicine cat den," escaped his lips. So it wasn't exactly intelligent or clever, but at least it was true and made sense. He then felt himself in a somewhat awkward position. He knew he should leave now, but wasn't sure. At last he nodded in goodbye, lingering a moment longer just in case Gingerpaw had something else to say.

"Uhm, alright." Gingerpaw nodded in a farewell as well, and then she shifted her gaze to the center of Camp. She felt slightly uneasy about being alone again, but she decided to just face the fear.
But, before that, she shifted her gaze back to Ripplepaw. "Oh, and Ripplepaw.. Promise me you will only ask Articpool about the bird and the fire, as well as the sudden... Well, let's say, sudden dread and petrification attack. Or.. You could just keep it between us." With that, she nodded another farewell, and then turned her back halfway to Ripplepaw.

Ripplepaw nodded in agreement. He wasn't sure he wanted to tell Arcticpool about the bird and the fire and that sudden sense of dread that had surrounded everything. He didn't see what good it could do at this point. With a final farewell he slowly padded away, looking back at the Ginger colored apprentice just once. He had made a friend today, but a dread kept gnawing at his stomach, making him uncertain about Gingerpaw. He didn't think she was a traitor or anything, but there was something wrong between them. That much was for sure.

As Ripplepaw's scent began to drift away, Gingerpaw shifted her gaze back to him for a last glance. He seemed to appear to have the same coat color and pattern that the bird had, but she didn't want to think more about it. She could feel something churning within her stomach, but she ignored it for now and padded away toward the apprentice's den.
(( Not really... ))
