(( Lol, yeah. Oh, there I go again... xD! ))
Snowsong couldn't help but allow a faint laugh to escape her maw as Risingdawn commented about Silverdust. "My, let's hope she didn't overhear that," she said, playful sarcasm within her tone; indeed, actual playfulness. She felt much more secure and, well, brighter around him; as if he were her only light, despite its dimness.
When he mentioned her not informing him much of her, she was taken by surprise as she didn't feel bothered; so, he had managed to tear down one of her walls, and that was impossible. Actually, a voice in her mind seemed to say that it would be possible if it involved him, and that made her feel slightly awkward; she ignored that, though.
"I suppose I keep on forgetting. Well, if you'd like to know a little more.. You should ask me a few questions I could answer; I'm not close to being a professional about informing others random things about me, without knowing what they desire to know." She slightly flicked her lobes again, as her orbs locked with his for a moment; it no longer made her feel nervous, it made her feel rather -- better.
(( Omg, so adorable! ))

Risingdawn laughed softly at Snowsong's words, and met her eyes; the intensity of her gaze was no longer as startling as it had once been, and he found himself basking in it where he would be made uneasy by most cats'. There was some hope for the both of them after all.
"I don't think most of us are." Casting about for an appropriate family member or similar to begin with, he recalled that Snowsong had recently acquired an apprentice, and made a mental note. He'd have to ask about the cat sometime -- whatever his name was -- but Snowsong was in an unusually open mood, and he wasn't going to let it go to waste.
"All right, so you know everything about me and Silv. What about you? Have you got any brothers or sisters hanging out in the shadows?"

Snowsong allowed a faint 'mm' to slip through her lips as Risingdawn spoke. Once he paused, she awaited a question. As he spoke again, her lobes slightly pricked up. After he finished the question, she slightly flicked her lobes again. "Well, I had a sister, Lingerfrost.. If you've heard about a small occurrence between she and me, which I doubt, you'll know that I had to rid of her." She was about to pause and await another question, when she suddenly realized that he might feel bad about her past, and so she shot out another statement. "But don't worry, it didn't really matter much; she and I weren't really closely knitted. Besides, she was a traitor." There was no bitterness or chill within her tone, which was likely thanks to Risingdawn. "So, how about another question?"

"You'll know that I had to rid of her...besides, she was a traitor."
The words sent an odd chill through Risingdawn, as well as the light tone Snowsong conveyed them with. He was as startled by her apparent lack of regret for whatever event had "rid" Snowsong of her sister -- "rid" as in killed? -- as by the event itself, perhaps even more than he might have been if she had displayed a hint of natural sorrow. Not for the first time, though with more vehemence than usual, Risingdawn blessed whatever ancestor had granted him his own close bond to Silverdust.
Still, cheerful as she sounded, Snowsong clearly considered the subject closed, and Riss obediently fished for another question. "All right then -- is there anyone in your family who's been especially important to you? You know, parents, mentor, distant relatives you've only heard of once or twice..." The half-joke fell rather flat, but Risingdawn thought he covered his reaction to Snowsong's earlier response fairly well.

(( Omg, I totally forgot Demon, Deathclaw, and Snowsong are like, half-siblings. xDD ))
Snowsong stifled a sigh of relief as Risingdawn changed the subject like she desired, and she was glad that he didn't seem to make a negative reaction to her statement about ridding of her sister. "Well, none of them are here with me, but it does sometimes feel like my mother, father, aunt, and niece are watching me. That feeling is probably half of what keeps me going."
She slightly flicked her tail as she grew slightly uncomfortable about her lack of showing the sorrow or regret of having to kill her sister, and she glanced down at her paws. "Alright, I admit, I hated the day I had to rid of my sister... I thought she was truly one of the family, a true sister at heart... But no, she wasn't." She then glanced up at him, her orbs meeting his. "But, let's leave it at that. If you're wondering, my little apprentice reminds me of her, except he's not ambitious; just, well, stubbornly distant, I suppose." After all, she knew how harsh it would be to join a Clan when they were born a rogue.

OOc;{Lol, I'm mostly glad Riss doesn't know about any of it, 'cause I have trouble remembering and following the whole thing myself. xD}
Risingdawn tilted his head reflectively at Snowsong's words, nodding to himself. "Yeah...yeah, I know what you mean. I visit my queen's grave a lot when I need to think...and my father, well, he hasn't got a grave but sometimes I wonder whether he's thinking of me."
He left it at that, but a thought, unbidden, sprung to his mind. Snowsong showed me her secret place, that first night. If I were to show her mine...
But it wasn't something he was sure he was ready to do, yet. Risingdawn shook the thought off as Snowsong spoke once more.
"I'm sorry for it, whatever happened between you two," he said honestly, "but even I can see you're not looking for pity. So -- tell me more about this new apprentice of yours." He fished in his mind for information, and finally managed to dredge up the cat's name and a bit of camp gossip with. "Echopaw. I've heard he's the challenge of the day and a pain in the tail besides, huh?"

(( LOL, same here. Snow and Demon would look like they were nowhere near half siblings. xDD ))
Snowsong slightly nodded at Risingdawn's statements, and then allowed a faint laugh to escape her maw at his last statement. "Indeed, he is a pain, and he doesn't seem to want to bond; I have to get kinda cold just to get him to come over to me sometimes." She slightly flicked her tail, and then her lobes, as she thought about her apprentice. They were both stubborn, but he seemed to be the one that was more vulnerable, as well as anti-social. A faint sigh escaped her lips, before she added on. "He's pretty much annoying when he gets all stubborn, but we manage to get certain things through his skull."
(( ._. Wow, my muse sucks. ))

OOc;{Well their eyes are sort of similar...ish...xD btw, out of curiosity and to make sure I'm not going crazy, did you change Snow's eye color at some point? I distinctly remember calling them hazel when Riss first met her, but when I checked the other day it said they were silver. xD}
Riss chuckled, and for the first time that night moved to touch Snowsong, carefully twining his tail with hers. "I can't imagine why he wouldn't want to bond with such a lovely cat," he teased gently -- flirting? -- and allowed a hint of thoughtfulness to enter his gaze. "I wonder if there's a reason for his not wanting to get close to you. Something with the way other cats treat him, maybe -- if they tease him or hurt him for some reason? I've never met him personally, so I wouldn't know -- but if you can figure the reason for his distance out, maybe it would be easier to get a bit closer to him and get him to listen to you better."

(( Yeah, I changed her eyes from hazel to a mystic gray. xDD ))
Snowsong hindered her orbs from widening as Risingdawn carefully entwined his tail with hers, and she entwined her tail more securely around his. She felt warmer as he spoke, and she actually felt nice about herself at that comment. The nervousness didn't manage to overpower the warmth she began to feel, but she kept the new emotions well concealed.
A faint chuckled managed to escape her maw. "Oh, Risingdawn, you didn't have to do and say that... Such a wonderful tom, you are..." She slightly flicked her lobes, and her orbs grew somewhat mellow as a faint, warm smile played upon her lips. Her lobes slightly pricked up as he suggested on how to attempt to cope with her apprentice. "I suppose you're correct; I'll try that. Thanks."

OOc;{Haha, thought so. xD}
Risingdawn, always so tentative, ducked his head modestly at Snowsong's words. "Who says I only ever do what I have to?" he countered, and -- trying his hardest to mask that constant inner hesitance with a touch of bravado -- shifted close enough to close the distance Snowsong had so carefully put between them when she first approached.
The words he'd been about to say flew out of his head when he moved, however, and sent a sharp lance of pain through the paw he'd almost forgotten about. Risingdawn stifled a hiss and made himself relax as soon as the sprain made him tense up, not wanting to remind Snowsong of the injury. Hurriedly he recalled to mind what he'd been about to say, and added -- casually enough, if less earnestly than moments before -- "I want to say nice things about you, Snowsong. You're far too modest."

Snowsong allowed a slightly larger smile to flicker onto her lips as Risingdawn countered her statement. Her breath caught in her throat as he shifted closer, closing the distance she had placed between them. She allowed a faint purr, indeed an actual purr, to ripple within her throat at his next statement, and she closed her orbs as she, acting upon impulse, lowered her cranium under his and rubbed her maw against his chest. "You're such a wonderful tom... I've never expected anyone to speak to me like you do...," she breathed, and she allowed her pelt to slightly blend with his. It felt like he was the one to lead her to happiness, the one that she would learn how to love from; it had to be.
(( ......... Squee! *cough, cough, clear throat* Uhm, no one heard that. But, they are certainly so adorable like this!! ))

OOc;{Aw, don't deny your squees. This is squee-worthy. xDDD}
Risingdawn's relief that Snowsong hadn't noticed his wince faded quickly into something -- different. Snowsong's purr -- just how rare that purr was, he didn't know, but surely it was a sound few heard -- vibrated against his side, mingling with his own, and he bent his head down over hers as she rubbed against him.
"Believe me," he whispered with a sort of quiet awe, rubbing his own cheek against the top of her head, "the feeling is mutual."
He could only sit there silently, afraid to break the moment; seeing truly for the first time the fragile beauty of true love. He knew full well how brittle both he and Snowsong were, unable to bend, so easily broken; afraid to reach outside of themselves and see the world in all its wonder. And yet --
And yet, for the first time, he was honestly able to believe in the concept of healing.

Snowsong allowed a faint 'mm' to escape her maw as Risingdawn spoke, and she remained nearly motionless within the position they were both in. It was such a warm, relaxing emotion that she felt as if a few of her small wounds were actually -- healing. It was the first time she ever got close to that emotion, and she never even dreamed of it occurring, thinking it was impossible, but here it was, actually feeling like it was occurring; truly occurring or not, she didn't really care. "Risingdawn... You're my light... My only light..," she breathed as she rasped her tongue gently over his chest.
It felt wrong, yet it felt right -- but that soon began to no longer matter to her. But something kept her from saying one simple but powerful statement; just three words and two hearts, but only one time and one chance. She'd wait for the correct moment, for she would never desire to lose that chance.
(( You know, some of the things I'm typing in are similar to my 'relationship' with my crush. ))

OOc;{Aw, that's kind of sweet. Ren is entirely lacking in relationships herself, haha, but I did base some of the moodiness lines earlier off chats I've had with friends. x3}
Risingdawn found himself tense as a frightened rabbit {really bad metaphor but I couldn't think of a cat equivalent for "harpstring" .-.}, swept up by waves of a powerful emotion he was afraid to name -- frozen by a sort of despairing hope as he felt Snowsong begin to gently groom his chest. Never, never before had he felt anything this powerful, and he shut his eyes tightly to savor this strange inner turmoil.
Not even Goldensun ever made me feel this way...not even close. Even now, he felt that flash of heart-deep hurt at thinking the name; but it was less of a hurt tonight, dulled and distanced by Snowsong's closeness to him. I never really loved Goldensun. I admired her, hero-worshipped her for her sophistication...and she made me think I loved her. But I never -- felt this strongly about her. I guess Silverdust was right...I can't truly love someone I don't think I can equal.
But even though the pain had faded -- even though it seemed so near insignificant as Risingdawn opened shining green eyes to look down at the white she-cat he so cared for -- it had never ceased to poison the shadows of his heart, and it was that pain that made him fear to speak the three words on both their minds.
So instead he whispered, with just as much tenderness as though he were saying those words, "And you mine, gentle warrior. You can trust me with your life."

(( Lol, at least we both have good resources. ))
Snowsong felt another light purr rippling softly within her throat as Risingdawn spoke. "And you can do the same." She reopened her orbs and allowed them to ascend to the handsome tom's facial features, and mystic gray met shining green. Her orbs were mellow and warm as they melted into his, and she soon nuzzled his neck, before flicking her lobes softly against his.
"I'll be with you, until the end of time." Her tone was so soft, and her voice was quite quiet, that she seemed to be breathing out her statements with relaxation.
(( Lost muse in the middle of post. ._. ))
