Rainclaw padded across the forest, her ears and eyes alert for any sign of prey. She took a peak behind her, Darksong was hunting with her. She hoped he would be ok, his wound worried her. She figured he would be ok. She shivered as a breze of cold air blew through the brown and tan fur on her pelt. Leafbare was coming, Rainclaw knew that much. The little voice in the back of her head wondered if IvoryClan would make it through. They had to, right?
But that wasn't the only thing the voice whispered. Darksong, Darksong, Darksong, it whispered. No, I do NOT like Darksong! but the more she faught it the more she knew it was true. She wondered how she could have possibly created this crush. Her mother had told her that there was no tom out there good enough for her. But, to her mother's dismay Darksong fit the part.
She scented a vole, but didn't go for it. Rainclaw wanted to see what Darksong could do, hunting wise.

Darksong followed Rainclaw, trying to hide his limping as best as he could. For a reason he was in denial about, Darksong felt a strong need to impress her. He was, however, very well aware that his hunting skills weren't the best. This fact would surely be amplified by his injuries.
He scented a vole, and upon noticing Rainclaw wasn't going for it, decided to track it. Please let me catch this stupid vole! He prayed as he spotted it foraging in some taller grass. He crouched down and slowly padded forward, careful to keep his weight balanced yet not causing him too much pain.
Darksong got as close as he dared before pouncing. And when he did, a lightning bolt of pain went through his flank. He still managed to kill the vole after a bit of struggling, much to his satisfaction. I hope the wound didn't tear open.... He turned to see a small trickle of blood seep out. He licked it for a moment, and was relieved to see the bleeding stop.

Rainclaw watched Darksong. He killed the vole, in an interesting way. He sort of limped over to it and jumped on it. But then, a red liquid seeped out of the would on his side. She gasped, wondering if he would be ok. She relaxed, as the bleeding stopped. She remembered his hunting technique. She started to laugh, "Nice job, maybe hunting wasn't such a good idea," she meowed when she finally controlled her laughter.

Darksong picked up his kill and headed back toward Rainclaw. He glared at her as she laughed at him. He dropped the vole down in front of her, "I hate hunting." he said in his defense, "And your laughing doesn't help either!" I should have stayed in camp he thought, why am I even bothering with her? Darksong knew exactly why.

"I hate hunting,"
"Well, it's one of those things that just has to be done," she meowed. "I don't like it much either," she added.
"And your laughing doesn't help either!"
She smiled back at him, then decided to show him how a real warrior hunted. She scented the air, a rabbit. It was somewhat rare for a rabbit to be in the forest. Rainclaw hadn't had rabbit for quite some time. Watch and learn Darksong, she thought. She lowered herself into a hunter's crouch, and stalked her prey. It was eating, she was surprised the two cat's bickering hadn't scared it away. When she was close enough, she pounced. She hit her target and killed the rabbit dead.

Darksong watched as Rainclaw easily killed a rabbit. Impressed, he said; "Nice catch." He scented the air for more prey. Either he didn't scent anything or he didn't want to, for he just stayed where he was. He never took his bright amber gaze away from Rainclaw.
"Ok I'm bored already." Darksong said.

"Nice catch."
Rainclaw smiled, Oh my gosh! He complimented me, Oh my-- No no stop it! This is NOT how the best warrior in the Clan thinks, no no no! It seemed as though her heart and her mind were arguing. The mind wanted success, the heart wanted love. She quickly realized that she hadn't responded to Darksong, "Oh, thanks," she said.
"Ok I'm bored already."
"You read my mind, what else's there to do around here?" she meowed, looking around for anything unusual that they could investigate.

Darksong glanced around. There was nothing he could think of to do. It also worried him to think that Secret was roaming the forests. What if they ran into him?
"Nothing much, it seems..." He replied solemnly.

"Nothing much, it seems..."
Rainclaw nodded, not really listening. Then, to her right she herd rustling. She turned her head quickly, her first thought was Secret. She unsheathed her claws. And got ready to pounce onto the bush, but then. Instead of the annoying rouge, out came a very fat white cat.
"You, what are you doing on IvoryClan territory?" "Who, me?" "Yes!" "Well, I'm in need of some assistance. It seems as though I've locked myself out of my garden,"

Darksong looked at the white cat, and tried his hardest not to laugh. She's fatter than Patchstar! He thought. She'll be easy to get rid of.
"Well, get lost. You won't get any help by trespassing." Darksong growled at her. "Aren't there cats in the Twoleg place you can bother?"

"Well, get lost. You won't get any help by trespassing."
Rainclaw sneered and nodded.
Fairy raised her eyebrows, the plump she-cat laughed. "Well sorry," she said, frowning. "What are they teaching you in this Clan? You both should learn to speak politely to your elders!" she meowed, flicking her tail.
Rainclaw hissed, "How in the world do you even know we exist? Most of the fat kittypets think we're savage beasts," she muttered.

Darksong stepped closer to the intruder and hissed; "I don't speak politely to fat lazy kittypets, no matter how old they are!" Well, he never spoke politely to anyone for that matter.
He had an idea of where she would have heard of clan cats. Secret. He lived in the twoleg place, and probably bothered the kittypets there. Darksong hoped she wouldn't mention him.....

Rainclaw laughed mockingly. But then she felt like Darksong's sidekick so she stopped.
"I don't speak politely to fat lazy kittypets, no matter how old they are!"
"Hmmp," Fairy snorted. "Just some cats," she meowed to Rainclaw. Rainclaw hissed. "Get lost," she meowed and Fairy snorted again. They would make great friends with Secret, she thought. "Well, goodbye and good residence," Fairy meowed and left the two cats alone.
"Well, that was stupid. And I bet my brother would've helped her too," the she-cat spat.

Darksong was happy to see the kittypet leave. Now he didn't have to worry about her mentioning Secret. Plus, he was alone with Rainclaw once again.
"Well, your brother is a fool then. What if that was a trick? Then he'd be a dead fool." Darksong said to Rainclaw, then regretted it. He might have just blew it with her, since he knew she would defend her brother.

"Well, your brother is a fool then. What if that was a trick? Then he'd be a dead fool."
Rainclaw looked up at him, hatred in her eyes. "Excuse me? My brother is no fool. My brother is smarter than you'll ever be," she hissed. "And my brother would never fall for a trap like that!"
