Loud pawsteps crackling in the bramble woke Swiftflame up, but she kept her eyes firmly closed. She did not want to to anyone right now. Chances were that whoever was there didn't even really like her anyway. Despite her apparent indifferent, Swiftflame opened her mouth slightly, and Ashpaw's scent washed over her scent glands. The smell of cats was so much stronger when they were wet! Though Swiftflame would never admit it, Ashpaw was probably the cat she was most willing to talk to at the moment. The younger cat was more open and probably sympathetic. Maybe Ashpaw still liked Swiftflame... Slightly grudgingly, Swiftflame opened one eye and saw Ashpaw sitting patiently, waiting for her to wake up. Slightly less pessimistic, Swiftflame lifted her head heavily, and gazed over at Ashpaw sadly.

Ashpaw had been concentrating on the sound of the rain hitting the forest floor, but when she saw Swiftflame was awake, she jumped up. "Swiftflame? Are you okay? You looked mad, I just wanted to make sure you were okay." She shook some of the water from her pelt (not that it was much use,) and padded closer to the other warrior. She sat down and gazed at her sypathetically, patiently waiting to see if Swiftflame would talk to her.

Swiftflame sighed heavily. If it were anyone but Ashpaw, she would have snarled at them, and told them to leave them alone. However, this was the one apprentice that she thought might still care for her thoughts and opinions. Swiftflame took one more deep breath before beginning in a tortured voice. "Ashpaw...well, it's just...I don't think Moonwhisker likes me...or anyone. I guess it sounds stupid, but, well...I don't know. I just feel...unliked all of the sudden.[/b] Swiftflame shook her flame-colored head in confusion and angst.

Ashpaw listened carefully and looked at her friend with big, sympathetic eyes. "Of course Moonwhisker likes you, and everyone else too. They're just... stressed. Especially Moonwhisker, she had to be the deputy and make all these desicions, and ends up saying and doing things she didn't mean. And I like you, I promise." Her words were genuine and her tone was genuine, Ashpaw was very sad that her friend felt this way. No one should ever feel like they're not likeds, espescially if they are...

Swiftflame shook her head in denial at Ashpaw's words, but stood up anyway in defeat. With a sigh, she gestured with her tail for Ashpaw to follow her. Swiftflame really didn't want to face Moonwhisker right now, but she guessed that she should probably apologize for running off on her like that. The grace that usually outlined her features slowly began to return as she walked, until her padding steps were entirely soundless. Returning to the clearing where she had begun, her gaze swept the area for Moonwhisker.
[OOC:short boring post. Sorry, I just used all my creativity on Another Day. I'm worn out.]

She's just being stupid. She knew I wasn't trying to be mean. Moonwhisker thought as Swiftflame padded away. She rolled her eyes. "She can be such a drama cat," she said. She just sat, waiting for Swiftflame to get over her little episode and come back.
And she did, of course. It didn't take long. Moonwhisker didn't look at her when she returned, she just started off into the distance.

Swiftflame could tangibly feel the rift rise between them as Moonwhisker turned her head away, clearly refusing to talk to her. "I can't believe you, Moonwhisker. I really thought we were friends. Once moment of doubt on my part and you turn on me. Suddenly, Swiftflame burst out laughing. "I sound so stupid! This whole thing is stupid. And it all started over some stupid piece of fresh-kill. Can we just forget about it?"

Moonwhisker smiled as Swiftflame came to her senses. "Drama cat," she teased. She looked around, it was starting to get dark. "Well, do you guys want to head back to camp?" she asked, looking around.

Nodding warmly, Swiftflame rose, her pelt slightly fluffed out to protect her from the growing cold. Walking over to stand by Moonwhisker, Swiftflame commented, "It's starting to get pretty cold out here. Maybe we should hunt on the way back. " Then, in a teasing tone, Swiftflame added, Unless the deputy is too good for that kind of commoner's task.[/b]
[OOC: Yeah not much more to do in this thread. Close it soon maybe?]

"It's starting to get pretty cold out here. Maybe we should hunt on the way back. " Unless the deputy is too good for that kind of commoner's task.
Moonwhisker let a small laugh escape her lips. She straightened her head and back, as if to look royal. "Go my peasants, and hunt for me!" she yowled at them jokingly. But the joke was over within a few seconds, as Moonwhisker got back into deputy mode. "Actually, I think it's time for Ashpaw's warrior ceremony," she meowed, flicking her tail towards the apprentice. "She's shown us how well she can handle herself today, and her behavior was that of a true warrior."
ooc;// I feel like she's been an apprentice forever XD You ok with warriorness?

Ashpaw, who had been slightly confused by the conflicts swift and random resolution, had been mostly silent as Moonwhisker and Swiftflame joked around. So instead of following their conversation she had begin to space off into her own little world, that is, until the mention of her warrior ceremony. When Moonwhisker brought up the possibility of Ashpaw's warrior ceremony being so soon Ashpaw was not sure what to say. "Really? That would be so awesome!" She didn't know what to say, but that never stopped Ashpaw. Her words came out quick and in an incomprehensible jumble, as if she was so excited that she had literally forgotten how to speak.
Ashpaw could think of many training sessions with Darksong when she thought she would never be a warrior, but here she was now, and the deputy herself had said that Ashpaw deserved to be a warrior. It took everything in Ashpaw not to squeal with delight, but she knew that warriors did not squeal. In fact, apprentices didn't even squeal, so instead Ashpaw just sat there, her eyes shining with glee and excitement
[OOC; As long as you don't mind having a warrior who is a complete wuss when it comes to fighting. =p]
