"Have I told you how much I hate you today?" Darksong grumbled as he watch Mothflight easily catch fish. Hunting was strangely very difficult for him, and always had been.
"Hmm....I don't think you have..." Mothflight answered, dropping his second catch of the day out of his jaws. "Maybe you'd be able to hunt better if you at least tried."
"Oh, believe me, I've tried!" Darksong always had trouble with hunting. Perhaps it was because his mentor never taught him a thing and Tornspirit always insisted fighting was more important.
"Really, when was the last time? Back when you were the worst mentor ever?" Mothflight still was in shock that Patchstar gave Darksong an apprentice, let alone that she became a warrior not too long ago.
"Shut up!" The black tom growled, "I hunted just the other day with Rainclaw and made an idiot out of myself. I don't plan on doing that again."
Mothflight laughed after snatching yet another fish out of the water, "Awww, so you failed at showing off to your lady friend?" He teased.
"You're just jealous, so shut up!" Darksong hissed at him, annoyed.
The tortie tom smirked at his brother, happy that he had struck a nerve.

"Rippedheart, tell me again why we're fishing today?" Rainclaw asked, her voice layered with a hint of annoyance. "Avoiding Carmeltail isn't going to work forever. You're gonna have to face her at some point," she added as the two walked in unison towards the sands. Rippedheart didn't reply, he just stared at the sand beneath his paws.
Rainclaw couldn't help but smile as she saw the familiar pelt of Darksong attempting to fish. Rippedheart felt his sister's pawsteps brighten and he looked up. "Oh no, Rainclaw come on!" he meowed quietly. "Hey, you're the one that wanted to come fishing to avoid our mother," she said as they reached the two brothers.
"Good afternoon Darksong, Mothflight," she meowed. Rippedheart started to roll his eyes, and Rainclaw kicked him before he could finish the gesture.

Mothflight heard others talking, so he turned to see who it was. Seeing that it was Rainclaw and Rippedheart he glared at Darksong. Darksong's ear twitched, "What?" Then he looked over as well, "So?"
The tortie tom went back to fishing, making sure it was busy so he could ignore the other cats for a bit. He swiped up another fish as Rainclaw greeted them. He simply gave her a nod and continued looking for more fish.
Darksong was actually the more polite of the two, for once, "Hello." Seeing that Mothflight caught another fish he said, "You caught another one?! I really do hate you...." He chuckled as he spoke.
"Well, maybe it's because I actually...."
"Shut up!" Darksong growled in a low voice, cutting Mothflight off.
Mothflight smirked.

"Riss, do we have to come out today? It's soooo cold!"
"You didn't have to come with me."
"You made me!"
"I didn't catch anything on patrol yesterday, and if I remember right, neither did you. We have some free time today, so let's make up for it."
"Why did you have to pick today to go all Good Warrior all of a sudden?" the silvery she-cat groused, scowling down at the icy snow beneath them. Her breath steamed the air. "At least it was a little warmer yesterday!"
Risingdawn flicked his tail derisively. "If we'd gone out yesterday, you'd have complained about how wet it was, or how it was snowing --" which it hopefully won't -- "or how it was cold anyway, because the day before that was warmer. Besides, don't you want to see --"
"Rainclaw!" Silverdust squealed, cutting him off, and she raced the last few tail-lengths down to the water's edge. "It's been wayyy too long! I didn't know you'd be out here..."
"Not that I didn't tell you," Risingdawn muttered under his breath, reaching the four fishers at a more sedate pace. He sat down next to Rippedheart and settled down to the patient wait-and-grab game of fishing, while his sister continued to chatter nonsense at her friend.
"...and what're they doing here?" Silverdust finally broke off her prattling with a narrow-eyed glance at the other two toms. Then, as she realized who the darker one was, an impish expression lit up her eyes. "Ooooh, never mind, I get it." She smirked at Darksong. "Is he treating you right, Rain?"
"She-cats," Risingdawn scoffed quietly to Rippedheart.

Rainclaw watched in amusement as the brothers fought. They reminded her of her and her own brother. But Rainclaw and Rippedheart had a strong bond, with a mother like Carmeltail one would have to have someone to confide in. She was going to comment on Darksong's hunting skills, but was interrupted.
Rainclaw almost jumped when she herd the familiar yowl of Silverdust screaming her name. She turned around and smiled. "Hey Silv! Long time no see, we've been really busy. Or at least he has," she meowed, flicking her tail towards her brother. "He's been avoiding Carmeltail, right?" she added.
Rippedheart sighed and didn't comment. As Silverdust noticed Darksong and Mothflight Rainclaw gave her the don't-be-mean look. "He's treating me fine thank you, but I keep him in line," she meowed glancing at Darksong.
Rippedheart groaned along with Rissingdawn, "I know. You can't live with them,"

{{ooc: Wow guys give me nothing to go on XD}}
Darksong felt a bit left out amoung the other cats, since they obviously had been friends for a long time. He and Mothflight had always kept to themselves. He did smile when Rainclaw glanced at him, but still had no idea what to say.
Mothflight meerly ignored the situation all together. He took 2 trips back and forth to camp to bring his fish to the freshkill pile. When he picked up 2 of the fish for his second trip, he 'accidentally' fumbled one and it hit Darksong in the face. Darksong had been watching Rainclaw and Silverdust talking. He growled as Mothflight picked up the fish and went to the freshkill pile.
"What's his problem? Jeez, he's been moodier than me lately...." Darksong remarked once his brother was out of ear shot.

Silverdust snickered at Rainclaw's comments; her tongue flashed out in response to the "be nice" look, but she didn't comment any more on her friend's new...relationship.
Instead, she watched Risingdawn out of the corner of her eye as the tom peered intently into the water, complaining at Rippedheart with good-natured disgust.
"'Can't live with them' is a bit of an understatement, as far as some are concerned," the ginger tom sighed, eyes narrowed in concentration at his task. He didn't have to glance in Silverdust's direction to indicate who he was talking about; the direction of his thoughts were tangible. "I mean, S -- some of them are all right. But others...sisters, for example..."
The tom fell silent as he spotted something silvery, flashing through the water. A moment's concentration as the fish hovered almost beneath him -- he reached his paw out --
And Silv, spotting his intent, leapt past Rainclaw and barreled into her brother, snatching the fish out of the water with a yowled "I GOT IT!"
Riss had no time to do more than give a loud mewl of surprise as his sister shouldered him out of the way, knocking him backwards to get a nice face-full of icy, wet sand. With a loud hiss of disgust, he climbed back onto his paws, just in time to see Mothflight deliver his brother a similar fate.
"Let me rephrase that," the ginger tom told Rippedheart in disgust. "Siblings are the ones you can't live with."
Silverdust cheerfully dropped her fish into Mothflight's pile when the tom was on his way with a second load. "Maybe he's got a burr on his tail," she suggested to Darksong with the usual oblivious rudeness. "Or maybe," she glanced over at Riss and stuck out her tongue, "there's a she-cat sticking one there."
Risingdawn, not missing the implication, flushed under his fur and muttered something rude.

"Is that possible?" Rainclaw teased at Darksong, "Funniness aside, he is acting strange, I wonder what his problem is..." she added with a shrug. She sat down on the ground. At first Rippedheart thought he was going to say Silverdust, but then he said his sister... this confused him. Was he implying... No... Well if it was a certain she-cat's name, and he didn't want to mention it in front of his sister then it had to be-- No. I can't get into other people's business like Rainclaw does all the time, it's rude. So he just nodded and pretended he knew exactly what Rissingdawn was talking about.
Soon enough, Silverdust confirmed Rippedheart's earlier thoughts. He looked over to Rissingdawn, wondering what he would say.
"Ohhh, who Rissingdawn?" Rainclaw asked, her tail brushing the ground with curiosity.

Darksong really couldn't care less about who Risingdawn was with. He didn't really care much for gossip. A lot of times in the past it, stuff went around about him. You know, why he was so snappy and rude. It's the rouge cat gene, they're all like that. Darksong would just shrug it off. If that was true, leaders must have a stupid and fat gene.
"I think I have some idea what Mothflight's problem is." He said, nodding towards Rainclaw.
Mothflight then reappeared. Yeah, he was a bit jealous of Darksong and Rainclaw, but there was no way he'd admit it. He had a weird feeling that they were talking about him, but shook it off and focused on catching more fish.

Risingdawn ducked his head at Rainclaw's outright demand, stifling the urge to snarl at his sister. "I don't know what you're --" he started to mumble, but Silverdust broke in.
"Snowsong!" she sang out cheerfully, then turned her back on the gossiping cats, instead studying Mothflight with a gleam in her eye.
"It's not --" Riss began, horribly embarrassed, then thought the better of it; if it got to Snowsong that he'd tried to deny their relationship, she'd be crushed. "All right. Yes. Snowsong. Now tease the fur off of me fast and go bother some other cat."
Silv, it seemed, had exactly that in mind.
The silver she-cat had risen quietly to her paws and taken a long route around Mothflight's fish pile, paws almost silent on the sand. Carefully, silently, she padded closer to him...
And spoke with direct cheerfulness into his ear.
"So what about you, huh? I think you've got a she-cat on the brain! It's a disease lately -- you and Rippy both gotta spill too!"

Rainclaw opened her mouth in disbelief. "Snowsong? Awwww you guys would be adorable together!" she meowed happily. "So, tell us more!" she added, giving him a nod of congratulations.
Rippedheart couldn't help but listen in on Silverdust's conversation with Mothflight. But once he herd his name he looked over at them. Then his brain registered why she'd said his name and quickly jumped into Rainclaw and Rissingdawn's conversation.
"Um, yah," he said, pretending to know what was going on.

Mothflight jumped when he heard Silverdust's voice so close to him. "Defiantly not." He told her, which was true. He had a feeling that wouldn't be enough for her though.
Darksong was highly amused by this. It was a relief to him to have someone else pry at Mothflight other than himself. "Seriously, Mothflight, what's your issue?"
Mothflight meerly glared at Darksong.

Risingdawn's face was hot. He ducked his head awkwardly, not looking at Rainclaw. "Uh...well...I don't know. It just kind of, um, happened. And...she actually likes me and she seems surprised I like her, so...we're even."
Not good gossip fodder for his friends, but he wasn't about to tell them about the soul-baring sessions or the awkward moments. He hadn't even planned on telling Silv about those.
"Oh, come on." Silverdust wrinkled her nose at Mothflight, not seeming to notice his annoyance. Or maybe she had, because -- "How come you're all edgy when we're talking about she-cats, then? Huh?"

"That's nice," Rippedheart said simply. He felt bad for Rissingdawn, who was obviously uncomfortable and embarrassed about talking about Snowsong in front of everyone else. He had an idea, "How about you Rainclaw? We all know who you like..." he meowed, trailing off.
Rainclaw scowled at him, "Excuse you that's none of your business!" she meowed simply.
"Are you saying you don't like him?" "No!" "Then it's my business," "It is not!" "I'm your brother, ever sense him you never tell me anything anymore!"
The two were bickering, as usual. Rainclaw looked away. It wasn't that she didn't want him to know, it was that it was awkward.

Both brothers felt like they wanted to hide. There was no way Mothflight was going to tell all these cats what his issue was. Darksong was trying his best to be unnoticed while Rainclaw and Rippedheart bickered.
"I'm not edgy, just in a bit of a bad mood. That's it." He then smirked and said, "What do you expect when I have to deal with Darksong all the time?"
"Oh shut up. You know you love me." Darksong said, lying on his back in the cold sand for no real reason.
"Whatever...."
