Purplekit's small paws barely made a noise on the fluffy snow covered ground. His brown eyes were wide with amazement as he looked around. He had never been out in the forest before, since his mother was so paranoid. The young cat was intimidated at first by all the large trees, but then noticed they were harmless. In fact, they looked rather beautiful with their branches covered in snow.
Not knowing where to go next, Purplekit looked around for the other kits. "What way should we go?" He asked no one in particular.

Rainkit once again bounded in front of the others, unable to contain her excitement. Her gray tail twitched uncontrollably, catching on everything it came near. By the time she came to the beautiful are where Purplekit had halted in confusion, his tail resembled more of a tangled, bramble and vine filled cloud. Twitching her tiny, kit-sized head around, she attempted to gnaw it off, miniature teeth flashing in the reflections from the snow. After she had removed a good enough portion so her tail wasn't drooping from the weight, Rainkit bounded forward again to sit by Purplekit, tail and pelt picking up more brambles and burrs as she went. "We go everywhere! This is the only chance we have to explore! Hey, look! Over there - it's those rocks Jaywing was talking about! Ooh, daises!" [/b] Rainkit gave a bounce before racing at top speed towards the rocks, her fluffy gray pelt becoming a blur. She circles the rocks once, twice, three times. Eventually, her legs gradually slowed, one by one defining themselves from the others. With a heaving chest, Rainkit lay down, exhausted, on the sun-warmed rocks, eyelids drooping. She had gotten rid of all of her energy as she ran, and she hadn't had a chance to nap earlier. Now she just wanted to sleep. Her eyelids were just about to snap shut when she slipped off the rock, landing in a big puddle of mud. "Oh, great! Now I'm really dirty! Dawnflight's gonna kill me when we get back.....unless we don't go back...."[/b] Rainkit's now mud-stained blue eyes were sparkling once again the the powern of her new idea, tiredness suddenly forgotten. "Let's stay in the forest, and camp out! We'll be like brave warriors! Paintedkit and I already have the scars, and Dewkit and Autumnkit I think maybe. It'll be so cool!"[/size][/blockquote]

Angelkit followed the other kits into the forest. Every step away from camp felt more full of excitement and adventure than the next. Around her everything was so big! The trees towered above her, casting giant shadows on the floor. The excitement of it seemed to fill the air and surround her, and she couldn't help but get into the spirit of it all. At the suggestion of camping she almost jumped right out of her fur. "Oh, camping would be so fun! And we could try hunting too! This is so awesome!" Her blueish-gray eyes were wide with wonder and excitement. She remembered for a moment how excited she was when she first left the nursery. Looking back it seemed so... lame. This was much cooler.

Each paw-step Paintedkit padded only added to his struggle of hiding his excitement. When he caught up with the others, after struggling with things catching his fur and hiding all his excitement, he felt the energy he had desperately hid begin to swiftly surge out. When Rainkit dashed around the rocks thrice, his excitement surged completely out, and he dashed full speed toward her. When she seemed to be resting, he leaped from rock to rock, excitement backing up pure bliss.
"Tom, this is so awesome! I can't believe they kept us in that lame Camp for our entire lives so far!" He continued to leap around, his excitement beginning to pummel his instincts that he should slow his leaping pace. His figure became a blur as he raced across several stones, and then he took a swift and sharp turnaround. He nearly toppled over, but before his weight could drag him down with gravity's assistance, he found his figure already soaring through the air at a rock two, three, four stones away. He landed gracefully, but the after force of the impact caused him to slightly wince since the vibration was quite powerful to his small bones.
He then whisked around to face the others. "Let's play tag!" With that, his gaze began to scan them all. Soon, it rested upon Angelkit, and he raced toward her, his figure becoming a near blur for a few seconds or so.
(( xDD I put tom since there's no man in their world. ))

Angelkit let out a shriek of surprise as Paintedkit came dashing toward her. However a mixture of adrenaline and pure excitement quickly set in and she began dashing away from Paintedkit. Her feet brought her up to a large rock that could also be considered a small boulder. "You can't catch me!" she chanted as she made her way to the top of the rock. "I'm an angel, I can fly!" On the last word she leaped off the rock, which was no more than two tail-lengths from the ground. She came to an unpleasant landing on the forest floor, and found herself covered in dirt. "Ow." She stood up and shook the dust from her pelt. "Okay, maybe I can't fly, but I can totally jump off of rocks." Her wide eyes glimmered mischievously and she laughed a little. "You still can't catch me though."

Rainkit stared dejectedly at the ground for a moment, upset because her idea had been ignored. She soon shook it off, however, and ran over to join the others. "Hey, did anyone listen to me? I said we should camp out in the forest overnight! Jaywing let us leave, and she didn't say we had to come back. It would be so cool, and it would show everyone that we're brave warriors!" [/b] Determined not be ignored this time, Rainkit bounded over to Angelkit, sticking her head obnoxiously right in front of Angelkit's. "Isn't that a good idea, Angelkit? Huh?[/b] Rainkit projected the last word she spoke at all the kits in the clearing, waiting for their input.

Angelkit rolled her eyes. "It was a better idea before your head was in my face." The expression on her face was a matter-o-fact one, making her look very haughty. Of course, Angelkit was rather haughty. "And we weren't ignoring it. We were just having fun. You can't expect us to stay out here all night if we're going to do nothing but sit around. We're just having fun. Chill." Angelkit looked at the other kits. "Do any of you have an opinion on camping out." she directed her gaze to Purplekit, but spoke to the crowd in general, "Or are you worried that the queens will be angry." The last comment was made with some sort of disgust in her voice. Her eyes shone with a slight glimmer of curiosity or something similar as she waited for a response.

Paintedkit slid to a halt when Angelkit dashed over a rock. When she stood corrected, he chuckled, and when Rainkit stuck her face into Angelkit's, his ears flicked slightly. When Angelkit spoke replied to the camping idea, he nodded slightly. When she said if they were worried, he scoffed and slightly snorted. "Worried? As if!"

Rainkit hung her head in embarrassed shame at Angelkit's words. Her feelings were easily hurt, and now she felt bad for her obnoxiousness. Ignoring her brother, Rainkit wandered inconspiciously away from the group. She planned to go for a walk and explore without the others noticing, and maybe when she got back they would have forgotten her rather overexcited obnoxiousness that made her seem so annoying. Doing her best to remain silent and undetected, Rainkit slipped away, scrambling quickly over the rocks and out of sight. Now that she was away from the others, Rainkit felt her excitement return, and she raced through the trees, not even paying attention to where she was going. The trees around her became a blur, tilting in all directions as she swerved wildly to avoid them. The mud on her fur was hardening into an uncomfortable crust from all of the wind, and gradually Rainkit slowed to a halt. As she sat down to wash her pelt, an owl hooted in the tree above her. The small kit froze. Sudden fear froze the pit of her stomach as she realized that she was completely and utterly alone for the first time in her life. The snow-covered trees suddenly seemed dark and menacing, and every snapping twig seemed to be trying to attack her. Rainkit's pelt fluffed out in terror, her kit instincts screaming for her to run to her mother. But Dawnflight was not there - she was sleeping back in camp, where Rainkit should be right now. Rainkit began racing wildly through the trees again, this time out of fear. Brambles tore at her pelt, leaving tufts of gray fur on every bush she passed. Eventually her short legs gave out from exhaustion, she she found herself in a completely unfamiliar forest; not that she knew any of the forest. Silent tears of fear and misery slipped out of Rainkit's ice blue eyes, and with a moan she lay down, wishing with all her heart that she had never left camp. [/blockquote]

Purplekit thought about the proposition of camping out for only a second before he said, "Yeah, that sounds like fun!" He batted his paw playfully at Angelkit as he spoke. "The queen probably will get mad, but I don't care!" This whole rebellious thing was new to Purplekit, but it felt oh-so-good to be bad.
He was about to ask if everyone wanted to explore for a good campsite when he noticed Rainkit was gone. "Um....where's Rainkit?!" He asked in a panicy tone.

When Purplekit asked about Rainkit, Paintedkit's ears pricked straight up, and his gaze immediately scanned the area with haste. "She's gone! Uh.. Oh, let's try to use our noses! Just... uhm... follow her smell, if you're sure you know it's hers. If you're not sure, follow anyone who does." With that, he whisked around, attempting to sniff out Rainkit's scent. When he seemed to catch on to it, he shouted to the others. "I think I found it!" He then half padded half dashed into the forest, making certain he didn't veer away from the scent.

Angelkit rolled her eyes. Did Rainkit have to ruin all her fun? First tag, now all the kits had to go off in search of Rainkit and couldn't play until they found her. How dull. But instead of protesting she followed Paintedkit deeper into the forest, not really sure why everyone was fussing so much. Rainkit had probably just gone off in search of a campsite for her 'brilliant' idea or something. No big deal. "I don't see why everyone is so worried. She's probably just going off trying to have some exciting adventure without us or something. You guys are all just over-reacting." The tone she spoke in wasn't mean, but rather nonchalant. As if it was perfectly obvious that Rainkit was safe and sound and having fun without them. Of course to Angelkit, it was obvious. Nothing could be more clear to a kit who thought she was always right. She sighed quietly, everyone was so worked up, and over what? If all the warriors got that panicked every time a kit went missing they would have never made it past the camp entrance, yet alone this far into the forest.

Purplekit picked up Rainkit's scent as well and followed Paintedkit deeper into the forest. He was a bit disappointed that they would be searching for Rainkit instead of playing, but then again this was much more exciting than staying in the nursery all day.
"Hey Paintedkit! Look over here!" Purplekit said as he spotted something. A tuft of fur was tangled onto a low lying branch. He sniffed it and it smelled strongly of Rainkit. Purplekit actually found hunting for his friend fun, like he was a detective or something.

Maskkit stepped out into the snow, without looking where he was going, and immediately slipped. He struggled around in the snow until he finally managed to get back up. When he looked up, all the others were gone. He swallowed a lump of fear, put his nose to the ground, and followed them. He looked up occasionally. The trail was heading into the forest. He shuddered. The icy trees looked foreboding against the grey sky. "Guys...." he said timidly. "Where are you?" This time it came out a little louder. When he tried again, he found that his throat was stuck. He crept along, glancing anxiously at the trees lining the path. Swallowing a few more times, he stopped to look around. He was scared to death. Maybe nobody would ever find him and he would be stuck here forever! His rumpled fur stood on end at this thought. With his mind racing, he tried to think logically. The best plan he could come up with was to catch up to his denmates, and so, fueled by anxious thoughts and a pressing fear, he dashed forth, following the trail as best as he could.

Rainkit was moving again - she had lay miserably in the dark forest for such a long time, and no one had found her! Convinced that no one had even though to look for her, Rainkit had dragged herself forward once again. Soon her neck was sore from snapping around to look for danger at every snap of a swig or crackle of a leaf. Miserable tears seeped from the corners of Rainkit's eyes, and all of the sudden she yelped out in surprise. She hadn't been watching where she was going, and had trodden into a belly-length, freezing cold stream. It was barely moving and posed no danger, but it certainly did nothing to improve Rainkit's situation. She sloshed across desperately, licking her pelt clean in the water as soon as she had emerged from its depths. She had no idea that in the process she had wiped clear any hope of a scent trail she may have left.
