Book Recommendations?

So. Ren is very much a fantasy geek.

At the moment, a very bored fantasy geek with nothing better to do than rant about pwnsome books on her site. =D

Cha. Anywho, after several ages I'm finally finding myself dwindling down out of Valdemar books to read, and I'm wondering if anyone has any good novels to share. Any genre really, but fantasy's my thing, what I read and write. Anyone who's interested, here's some of my addictions --

x.Anything by Tamora Pierce, Tortall books especially; these and HP are really what first got me into fantasy
x.MERCEDES LACKEY OMG, her Valdemar books pwn -- there's something both idealistic and very solidly real about them that has me absolutely addicted
x.Chronicles of Elantra by Michelle Sagara -- I love the humor and am a shameless Severn fangirl xDD Haven't finished Cast In Secrets yet so don't give it away!
x.Gemma Doyle trilogy by Libba Bray -- that has some of the awesomest quotes of all time, and I adore Felicity; there's a quote in one of the first two about "a shark that thinks itself a goldfish" or something about her that always struck me. The Sweet Far Thing is right after Cast in Secrets ^--- on my next-to-read list.
x. Abhorsen trilogy by Garth Nix...cool stuff but I haven't reread them recently so I can't give anything specific xD

Umm...-squints- I'm not at home so my miniature library isn't on hand; can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

The Redwall series, by Brian Jaques, are so awesome I cannot describe their awesomeness. Look for Martin the Warrior or Mariel of Redwall - those are my favorites and good starting points for learning about the series, I think.

A Great and Terrible Beauty ~ Sorry, book isn't with me so I don't know the author xD

Blue Bloods
Mascarade ~ Both by Melissa De La Cruz ~ Vampire books, Blue Bloods being the first. Placed nicely and entertaining.

Twilight ~ Stephanie Meyers ~ Absolutely amazing! Another vampire series and so beautifully written! I've read all the books so far. Here are the other two:

New Moon
Eclipse

Marked ~ PC Cast and Kristen Cast ~ Another Vampire book and part of a series. I like it, relates to teens. Kinda. Second book is called Betrayed, have yet to read it.

Blue is for Nightmares ~ Laurie Faria Stolarz ~ Pagen religion and exciting. Other books in the series will be listed below:

White is for Magic (Read and good)
Silver is for Secrets (Have not read)
Red is for Rememberance(Have not Read)

Wolf Brother ~ Michelle Paver ~ Native American tribes with magic and wolves xD I loved it. Other books:

Spirit Walker (New and exciting)
Soul Eater (On your toes)
Outcast (Haven't read)

Feast of Souls (Magister Trilogy) ~ CS Friedman ~ SOOOOO amazing. Incredible. Absolutely fantasy and amazing. A little graphic but insanely good.

His Dark Materials Trilogy~ Phillip Pullman, Ypu guy might have heard of these books, they're pretty good, explore the idea of parellel universe

The Withern Rise Trilogy ~ Micheal Lawrence ~ I'm in the middle of the series right now. Coincidentally, they are also about parellel universe.

The Looking Glass Wars ~ I'm not sure who they're by, I don't have the book with me, but it's supposed to be a darker twist on the story of Alice in Wonderland. I thought the first book at least was pretty interesting, but I haven't ead the next one yet.

Okay, so theres these amazing books, and I love them so much, you've gotta try them. It's called warriors, and its by erin hunter.....um yeah. okay, real suggestions.

1)elsewhere by gabrielle zevin

2) Eragon and Eldest by Christopher Paolini

3) Well, its not fanfiction but ANY animal lover will fall in love with this book: Marley&Me. My favorite book ever.

4) If your looking for any insanely long (try like 600-700 pages) and very fantasyified book, try the Chronicals of Narnia. Pretty good.

I second Meppers's recommendation of twilight/new moon/eclipse. Amazing books right there. Narnia's not bad it you have the time to read it. Right, I'd also recommend A mango shaped space. Also amazing. And Artemis Fowl is good, can't remember if you already mentioned that, but it gets pretty easy if your older. Umm, yeah.

Yo! Stephenie Meyer fans! No mention of The Host? Heck, I think I like that one better than the Twilight books! *cringes* Don't kill me.

And I second the recommendation of Wolf Brother by Michelle Paver. Also, if you like short reads and kids' books (I know I do), I liked Varjak Paw by S.F. Said. That's all I got for now...
