Dictionary These are some words/phrases used by cats, and what they mean.
Stuff Crowfood - dead or rotting prey Cutter - the Vet Freshkill - dead prey that's fresh and good for eating Halfbridge - boat dock Kittypet - house cat Loner - a cat that lives on its own and doesn't defend territory Monster - car or other vehicle Rogue - a hostile outside clan cat Sharing Tongues - grooming each other and sharing gossip Silverpelt - the night sky and stars Tree-eater - a bulldozer Thunderpath - road Twoleg - human Twoleg kit – human child Twoleg nest – human's house Twolegplace – human-built town
Time Newleaf - Spring Greenleaf - Summer Leaf-fall - Autumn/Fall Leaf-bare - Winter Moon - The time between one full moon and the next, 28 days or about a month Moonhigh - Midnight Half-Moon- About two weeks, half a month Quarter-Moon- About a week Sunhigh - Noon.
Measurements Fox-length - About the length of a fox; approximately a yard. Kittenstep - Less than an inch. Tail-length - About the length of a cat's tail; approximately a foot.
