A soft smile came to his dark lips, so skillfully masked that none could see the darkness lurking behind it. Oh, how pathetic the tom was - but then again, protecting someone was definitely a weakness. Flicking his tail somewhat, his silver eyes bore into the smaller tom's. It showed none of his blood stained intentions; rather, all emotion was blocked off.
Demon could see the hesitancy and fear in those pathetic, pale emeralds. Something flashed through the very back of his gaze, hardly noticeable. Blinking somewhat, his tail flicked, brushing Canary's coat for a moment. "She wished for something to get her through the day," he cast her a glance, a charming and entrancing one you could say, "And I just happened to appear at the correct time."
Flicking his tail somewhat, his eyes finally broke their sights from the tom's face, and he slightly dipped his head. "I have not seen you around, either. My name is Demon." No one could have caught that psychopathic smile upon his shadowed face, before he raised his cranium. "And yours is Ghost?"
This tom may challenge him. He was aware of that, but not afraid. Then, what surprised him - well, almost - was that Canary told her brother off. Inside, he smirked dangerously, but he showed surprised on the outside; a face, but impenetrable mask. He blinked somewhat, before taking a step back, watching both of them. "Perhaps I shall leave this for you two to deal with."
Oh, he could easily purr at this!

Ghost kept his eyes narrowed on Demon, suspicious of the tom's innocent explanation. Oh, so they had just happened to come together and start flirting off the bat, had they?
However, the black tom was being courteous -- more courteous than most rogues you'd run into -- and even if this just made Ghost more suspicious, the little tom couldn't quite hold his anger up in the face of it. "Aye, I'm Ghost," he answered shortly, and started to question the oh-so-casual nature of their meeting.
But then Canary started off on him. Ghost's mouth dropped open.
What -- she thought he was trying to replace Sparrow? As if anyone could take the place of the parents they'd lost! And as for not being a little kit -- she wouldn't be able to figure out the time of day without him to help her!
Ghost glared at Canary. "Do," he said shortly, to Demon. "I want to talk to my sister alone.
"As for you," he half growled, at the she-cat, "you couldn't live on your own if the entire world tried to guide you through it. You can't even hunt!"

Canary glared at Ghost as he spoke. How dare he say she couldn't make it on her own! "You're wrong!" She spat at him. "I don't need anyone....especially not you! All you do is go around picking fights with everyone for no reason. I stay out of all of that, yet you insist on butting into every little thing I do. I'm tired of it!" Canary had said what she needed to, thus she began to pad away.
Before she left she brushed past Demon and purred. Pelts touching, she whispered: "Sorry about that.....we must meet again some other time." She slowly stepped out in front of him and she waited for a response, turning to glare at Ghost one last time.

He nodded at the other tom, turning his back to them as a smile graced his lips; oh, how wonderful to see this occur.. His pace was slow, so he could listen to them - and he liked what he heard.
But it ended soon enough, with Canary brushing past him. Demon cast her a dazzling smile, flicking his lobes. "Let us hope." How foolish she was. And with that, he padded past her, tail flicking playfully onto her nose - and then he was gone.

Ghost opened his mouth in protest as his sister turned and walked away.
"Canary --!" he began to call after her, angrily, then shook his head in disgust and stalked off in the opposite direction. There was no talking to her when she got into these moods. He'd find her and talk sense into her after she'd had time to cool down -- and realize he was right; she didn't know how to hunt.
