History.
Nightsong was born into IvoryClan as Nightkit. His kithood and apprentice days were fairly uneventful and normal. However, when he went out hunting on his own as a warrior, he met a kittypet. Her name was Whiskers and they soon fell in love. Since Nightsong had few companions within the clan, he decided to leave to be with Whiskers. Not wanting to be associated with the clan, he changed his name to Nightmare.
He soon became bored with his new life. He was staying in the garden of Whiskers' twolegs, catching mice occasionally and eating kittypet food. It did not have the thrill of living in a clan. Nightmare disappeared soon after she gave birth to his kits. She ended up keeping on and leaving the other in Ivoryclan. Nightmare lived a life of solitude deep in the forest before dying of illness. He did become a member of StarClan, and returned to the name Nightsong.

Terrorclaw grew up being made fun of. His odd, random appearance was always a joke to the younger members of the clan. As a warrior he grew to be very tough, letting insults slide right off him. This brought it to an end. He found a mate in Twilightglow and they soon had 2 kits, Spiritkit and Dreamkit.
Twilightglow, however, agreed to nurse 2 more kits whose queen had died. These kits were Darkkit and Mothkit, offspring of Tornspirit and Pantherheart. Twilightglow didn't want to do it at first since she disliked Tornspirit, but simply couldn't let the kits starve. She eventually grew to care for them as much as her own kits.
All 4 kits were quite close. Darkkit and Spiritkit were always getting into trouble. Mothkit was always the tattle-tail, and Dreamkit would sit back and laugh at the silly tom-kits and would even sometimes give them ideas for pranks. It was very evident though that she fancied Darkkit, and many thought they would grow to be mates despite the young tom disinterest.
After the kits were apprenticed, Terrorclaw would often take Spiritpaw and Dreampaw out to explore (feeling that their mentors weren't teaching them enough). On their last trip, they were crossing the Thunderpath. Spiritpaw got distracked, so Terrorclaw stopped to call to him. He and Dreampaw were then hit by a twoleg monster. Spiritpaw stood there, stunned, then rushed back to camp and to his mother.
Twilightglow was shattered when she heard what had happened. Afterwards, she kept a close watch on Spiritpaw, not wanting anything to happen to him. She even insisted upon mentoring him herself, not trusting his mentor (Carmeltail) with him. Despite her careful watch, Spiritpaw snapped and fought with Talonfall when he said that Terrorclaw and Dreampaw's deaths were his fault. Redstar promptly banished Spiritpaw.
She continued on in the clan, but was a meer shadow of her former self. Twilightglow turned to Darksong and Mothflight to have some sense of family, talking to them often. She died of green cough 20 moons after the deaths of her mate and daughter.
